Alliance Fastpitch Open Nationals (AFON)
The National Championship Open to Every Alliance Team
The Alliance Fastpitch Open Nationals is a six-day national championship experience that brings together 14U, 16U, and 18U programs for elite competition, real recruiting exposure, and a week they will not forget.
What makes AFON different from any other national tournament? It is open to every Alliance-registered team. No qualifying berth required. If your team is part of the Alliance community, you belong here.
July 21-26, 2026 | Chattanooga, TN | 3 Pool Games into Double Elimination
Chattanooga has been hosting fastpitch national championships for decades, and AFON keeps raising the bar. Year after year, the numbers tell the story of just how big this event has become and just how many athletes are showing up ready to make their mark.

AFON is not just a tournament. It is a full week of experiences designed to push athletes, celebrate them, and set them up for what comes next. From the opening day energy of Day Zero to the final out of the championship bracket, every moment is built with the player in mind.
Day Zero and the Ultimate Athlete Challenge
The week does not start with pool play. It starts with community. Day Zero brings athletes together before the bracket begins for the Ultimate Athlete Challenge, a fun, skills-based competition covering fielding, throwing, hitting, bunting, and running.
Individual prizes and t-shirts are up for grabs, and standout performers earn a shot at being named an Ultimate Athlete, complete with a collaborative social spotlight.
National Championship Bracket
Three pool games. Then double elimination. Then national champions crowned in the Scenic City on July 26. Every team enters on equal footing, every game carries the weight of a national stage, and the competition reflects it.

The Connect Sports content team is on the ground all week capturing the moments that matter. Professional photographers document the competition, and Hype Squads create energy and capture content alongside them.
After the final out, the All-Tournament Team is selected using real event data through Alliance Fastpitch's partnership with AGL.
A Destination for College Softball Recruiting
College coaches show up to AFON because the competition earns it. Programs from NCAA, NAIA, and junior college levels attend each year to evaluate athletes across 14U, 16U, and 18U in a high-stakes environment where every team comes ready to play.
Chattanooga has a way of bringing the right people to the same place at the same time. AFON is where that happens every July.
Connect Sports x Alliance Fastpitch
AFON is produced by Connect Sports in partnership with Alliance Fastpitch, two organizations that share the same foundation: put the athlete first, always.
Alliance Fastpitch brings a national competition structure, a player-first platform, and a community of programs that spans the country. Connect Sports brings the event operations, an on-the-ground content team, and the athlete recognition programs that make the experience feel as big as it actually is.
This partnership is about creating a week where every athlete who steps onto a Chattanooga field knows she belongs on that stage, and walks away with something real to show for it.
